BTR Health needs an experienced, unshakeable Support Worker for a participant in Epping with complex needs, including psychosocial disability, mental health challenges, and current active substance use (AOD).
The participant can present as difficult, volatile, or resistant to support at times.
We need someone who's worked this space before, knows how to hold boundaries, de-escalate, and not take it personally.This role is not suitable for new-to-industry support workers.You'll be:Supporting daily living, routines, and appointmentsHelping with community access and social participationUsing de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches — regularly,



not occasionallyKeeping explicit case notes and flagging changes or incidents earlyWhat You BringExperience with AOD (alcohol and other drugs) support and challenging/high-risk behaviours — preferredExperience with mental health / psychosocial disability support — preferredThick skin, steady temperament, strong personal boundariesABN + your own insurance (public liability & professional indemnity)NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, First Aid/CPRCert III/IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, or AOD — preferred, not requiredDriver's licence + reliable carPaySet rate per hour, paid on invoice.BTR Health welcomes applicants with lived experience and diverse backgrounds.
