Job overviewIf you're a Civil Designer who enjoys owning your work and seeing projects through from concept to delivery, this is a great opportunity to step into a role with real responsibility.
Based in our Rockhampton office, you'll work on a mix of projects while being part of a close-knit team that values quality, accountability and practical outcomes.Rockhampton offers the best of both worlds.
A relaxed regional lifestyle with easy access to the Capricorn Coast, plus the opportunity to work on diverse and impactful infrastructure projects across Queensland.About the roleYou'll be responsible for producing civil designs and documentation that support project delivery from start to finish.
Working closely with the General Manager, Project Managers and Senior Designers, your day-to-day will include designing, drafting and coordinating project information.Prepare detailed design drawings, calculations and documentationUse tools like 12d and AutoCAD to deliver accurate, compliant designsLiaise with councils, authorities and external stakeholdersManage and maintain project documentation and drawing registersSupport project timelines by working efficiently and flagging risks earlyProvide guidance to Cadet Designers and Drafters within the teamWhat we're looking forAround 3+ years' experience in civil design/draftingPractical experience using AutoCAD and 12d ModelStrong understanding of engineering design principles,



standards and approvals processesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesHigh attention to detail and a sense of ownership over your workNice to haveAn associate degree in Civil Engineering or similarExperience liaising with local councils or state authoritiesThe team and environmentYou'll be joining a supportive, down-to-earth team where people pull together and get things done.
