Lead Security Analyst Cyber Threat Analyst - National Security / DefenceLocation: ACT or SAContract: 12 months, with 2 x 12-month extension optionsPay: $140-$170 p/h including super (negotiable)Work type: Full-time, up to 40 hours per weekWork arrangement: Onsite, with specific arrangements agreed with your supervisor on a case-by-case basisClearance: Must hold a current security clearanceAbout the RoleLead Security Analyst position available with our Federal Government client.
This is hands‐on security operations work.
You will analyse threats, monitor security events, assess vulnerabilities and strengthen security controls protecting significant systems.
You will work closely with technical teams and security leadership.
The role also develops incident response procedures and supports security test and evaluation activities.What You'll Be DoingPerform threat-driven analysis of system securityAnalyse threat intelligence for system-specific threatsMonitor security events and information for security incidentsDevelop and use incident response plans and playbooksAnalyse security vulnerabilities and propose solutionsReview existing security controls for vulnerabilitiesDevelop procedures for monitoring and analysing security information and eventsSupport security test and evaluation activities for systems and productsSupport technical leadership as requiredWhat You Bring (Essential Criteria)You've worked in a SOC as a Security AnalystYou're an Australian citizenYou must hold a current security clearanceNice to Have (Desirable Criteria)Experience with or knowledge of Australian Government information security policiesKnowledge of the Information Security ManualKnowledge of the Essential Eight TSPV-cleared cyber roles with this breadth move quickly.
