This is a casual position (must be available weekends).
In this role, you will be the face of our business, delivering outstanding customer service whilst also caring for animals in our store.
You will play a vital part in ensuring our customers have an exceptional shopping experience and that our animal companions receive the highest standard of care and attention.Key responsibilitiesProviding friendly and efficient customer service to all shoppers, answering enquiries and assisting with product selectionProcessing sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systemsMaintaining store displays and ensuring merchandise is well-organised, stocked and presented to a high standardCaring for animals in the store, including feeding, watering,
cleaning enclosures and monitoring their health and wellbeingHandling animals safely and humanely, following all welfare guidelines and best practicesEducating customers on animal care requirements and product suitabilityMaintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the store, including animal areasRestocking, cleaning shelves and managing inventory levelsContributing to a positive team workplace and supporting colleagues as neededWhat we're looking forExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer serviceA demonstrated love of animals and genuine commitment to their welfare and wellbeingPhysical fitness and ability to lift and carry items regularly, and to stand for extended periodsAttention to detail and strong organisational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environmentReliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work casual hours as requiredBasic numeracy skills and ability to use point-of-sale technologyPrevious retail or animal care experience is essential
