Based in Dandenong with opportunities to learn in Field and Workshop positions , this role strives to develop a multi-skilled Fitter & Turner throughout a 4 year competency based trade apprenticeship.
The role will give exposure to a range of tasks demanded of a contemporary fitter and turner including:Manufacturing using conventional & CNC machinery - Lathes, Milling Machines and associated workshop equipmentComponent repair, assembly and testingWorkshop & Field Service - maintenance and overhauls of reciprocating compressors and rotating equipmentWarehouse and Logistics Training - understanding parts interpretation and logistics processesPotential candidates should have:High attention to detail with interest in mechanical machineryGood mechanical aptitude and enjoy working with your handsA strong regard for safety and strive to adhere to Hoerbiger Quality,



Safety & Environment Management SystemsWillingness to undertake travel and work in metropolitan and regional locations to develop your skills.
This is a physically demanding job and you will be mainly working in busy (sometimes noisy) workshops.Reliable, self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to workExcellent communication and organisational skillsThe right to work in AustraliaThe successful candidate will be required to attend and complete a pre-employment medical check.
