The Service Engineer works with the Service Manager and the wider Service Team to provide Scitek's customers, and the Scitek Sales Team, with safe, timely and technically sound solutions to equipment and technical service needs.
Based in Melbourne, the role supports the Victorian customer base while contributing to Scitek's national service capability.Key responsibilitiesPerform equipment repairs on Scitek represented productsPerform assessments and quotations on service jobsPerform onsite installations and provide user trainingPerform repairs within agreed timeframes, subject to parts availabilityMaintain exact and timely documentation of all work performed in NetSuite, including service reports and expensesWork with the Sales Team to promote Scitek products and provide technical supportCommunicate with Scitek suppliers in a professional manner to progress service tasksCommunicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing training, support and recommendationsComply with all OH&S; requirements onsite and offsite,



and promptly report issues to the Service ManagerComply with all relevant road and safety regulations while travelling to and from customer sitesAbout youValid Victorian (or equivalent) Class C driver's licenseProven ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults across electrical and mechanical systemsProficient in the use of tools and diagnostic equipment (Multimeter, vacuum gauges etc.)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong, creative problem-solving skills applied to technical challengesCapable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environmentWell organised, with sound time-management and prioritisation skillsLicensed Electrician registration in Victoria, or a current Refrigeration and Air Conditioning licence (e.g. ARCtick), highly regarded but not essentialExperience both in the use and repair of scientific vacuum and process chemistry equipment highly regardedAbout usScitek Australia Pty Ltd provides customised high-end equipment solutions for scientific and industry, supported by engineers with 30+ years of experience.
