Key Account Manager - Heavy Earthmoving & MiningKey Account Manager – Heavy Earthmoving & Mining$180K Base + Car Allowance + Commission | OTE $250K–$280KLocation: Newcastle, NSWPermanent | Full-TimeWe are currently seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to manage and grow major customer relationships across the heavy earthmoving, mining and resources sectors.This is a senior commercial opportunity for an experienced sales professional who understands the heavy equipment and mining market and can build strong relationships with major mining contractors, owners and industry stakeholders.
You will be responsible for managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, growing existing customer spend and promoting a range of heavy earthmoving equipment and associated products and services.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop strong, long-term relationships with major customers across the mining and heavy earthmoving sectorsDevelop and execute account strategies to grow revenue, customer spend and market shareIdentify and secure recent business opportunities within existing and prospective mining accountsPromote and sell heavy earthmoving equipment, products and associated servicesDevelop and manage quotations, tenders, proposals and commercial submissionsWork closely with internal sales, service, technical, parts and support teams to deliver customer solutionsUnderstand customer requirements and develop equipment and service solutions aligned to their operational needsManage commercial discussions, negotiations and customer requirements throughout the sales processMonitor market activity,



competitor movements and emerging opportunities across the mining and earthmoving sectorMaintain a strong understanding of customer fleets, equipment requirements, future projects and purchasing cyclesSupport the successful delivery of major projects, sales initiatives and account strategiesResolve customer concerns and commercial issues while maintaining strong long-term relationshipsWhat You'll NeedProven experience in Key Account Management, Major Account Management, Business Development or Sales in this sectorStrong background within heavy earthmoving equipment, mining, construction equipment or a closely related industryEstablished relationships across the mining, resources, earthmoving or heavy equipment sectorsStrong understanding of heavy equipment and the applications within mining and earthmoving operationsProven ability to grow existing accounts and identify new business opportunitiesExperience managing large commercial accounts, tenders, quotations and negotiationsStrong commercial acumen with the ability to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutionsExcellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skillsAbility to work strategically while maintaining a strong customer and results focusCurrent Australian driver's licenceWhat's on Offer$180,000 Base SalaryCar AllowanceCommission StructureOTE of $250,000–$280,000Key Account position within the heavy earthmoving and mining sectorOpportunity to manage major strategic accounts across AustraliaSignificant opportunity to grow existing business and develop new customer relationshipsLong-term career opportunity with a market-leading equipment business
