Empower Care Pty Ltd is urgently seeking support workers for SIL housing in Toowoomba.Tasks and Duties of a Support worker may include:Attending social and recreational events with the participant.Accompaning the participant to appointments.Some meal preparation and encouraging healthy eating.Assisting with medication.Cleaning, shopping and assisting the participant with daily tasks.Providing companionship and taking a genuine interest in the participant and his interests.Encouraging the participant to engage in activities in the community.Supporting the participant to develop current hobbies and interests.Encouraging the participant to make decisions for himself and feel confident doing so.The support worker will be required to complete shift notes at the end of each support.Applicants should have the following qualifications prior to working with participants:Current First Aid and CPR AccreditationCurrent NDIS Worker Screening CheckNational Criminal History (Police) CheckValid QLD driving licence and fully insured vehicleAssist with Medication skillsetBasic medication administration competency requiredNDIS Worker Orientation Module
