The roleMaintain accurate books and records in line with AASBOwn core accounting activities - journals, AP/AR, general ledgerPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare and lodge BAS, payroll tax and other statutory filingsSupport month-end, quarter-end and year-end closeAssist with management accounts and variance analysisMaintain fixed asset registers and support project expenditure accountingSupport intercompany accounting and reconciliationsAssist with ERP implementation, migration and process improvementPrepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditorsSupport annual budgeting, forecasting and business planningAssist with finance due diligence for acquisitions and new projectsAbout youCA, CPA or equivalent (or working towards)Approximately 3-5 years' relevant accounting experienceStrong grounding in Australian accounting principles and financial reportingExperience with AP,
AR and general ledger accountingExposure to statutory reporting, external audit and tax complianceStrong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets and financial systemsHigh attention to detail and robust organisational skillsAbility to work independently within a small, collaborative teamAdvantageousExperience in infrastructure, energy or renewable energy businessesExperience with project entities, trusts, holding companies or investment structuresExperience with NetSuite, Xero or similar ERP/accounting systemsUnderstanding of GST, corporate income tax and deferred taxBig 4 or professional services accounting/audit background
