Long term opportunity for Boilermakers to join a significant piece of work in the Wollongong region of NSW

I'm looking for qualified Boilermakers to join a mechanical contractor working across BlueScope Steel sites, with the majority of work based at Port Kembla on the Blast Furnace 5 and 6 upgrades. This is a outstanding opportunity for an experienced Boilermaker looking for long-term, ongoing work on a major industrial project.

Opportunity to work alongside experienced trades on a large-scale project
n

Responsibilities
n
n
Fabricate, fit, and weld structural steel, plate, and pipework as part of the upgrade
n
Read and work from engineering drawings and work orders
n
Cut, shape,



and fit plate and steel sections to specification
n
Carry out repairs and modifications to plant structures and equipment
n
Work from heights, scaffolds, and in confined spaces as required
n
Complete isolations, permits, and job cards to site procedures
n
Work alongside other trades as part of the broader upgrade crew
n
Follow all BlueScope site safety, environmental, and quality requirements
n

Licences/Experience
Required
n
n
Trade qualified Boilermaker
n
Relevant licences and tickets (e.g. White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP, Rigging/Dogging)
n
Own basic tools
n
Own PAPR welding shield
n
Previous heavy industrial or steel plant experience highly regarded
n
