Accounts Officer – Accounts Payable & Receivable
We're looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our finance team at our Hallam Branch. This is a hands‐on role focused on accounts payable and accounts receivable, working closely with our branch teams. We need someone who can hit the ground running from day one.
Key responsibilities
Processing supplier invoices accurately and on time
Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
Working with branch departments on any disputed invoices to ensure quick and accurate processing
Preparing and processing weekly supplier payment runs
Reconciling supplier statements and handling supplier queries
Raising customer invoices, including hire, sales and service billing
Working with branch departments on any customer invoicing queries to ensure quick and accurate resolution
Managing debtor collections and following up overdue accounts
Assisting with COD collections and payments
Allocating customer receipts and reconciling customer accounts
About you




At least 3–5 years' experience in a similar AP/AR role
Solid working knowledge of accounting system (Myob desirable)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage high transaction volumes and meet deadlines
Confident communicator with suppliers, customers and internal teams
Collaborative approach and confidence working with branch managers and operational teams
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience in hire, equipment or industrial businesses (desirable)
