Senior Manager - Estimation and EngineeringHome Trades Hub Australia – Noble Park VICThe Senior Manager - Estimation & Engineering is a key leadership role within RACV Commercial Energy Solutions, leading the Estimation and Engineering functions across commercial solar, BESS and EV charging projects.You'll bring together commercial and technical expertise to ensure projects are accurately estimated, well designed and positioned for successful delivery.
Working closely with Sales and Project Delivery, you'll lead a high-performing team and help shape competitive, technically robust solutions for customers.Key responsibilitiesLead and develop the Estimation and Engineering teams, setting clear technical and commercial standardsOversee project estimates, financial models and cost reviews to support competitive pricing and margin targetsLead preliminary designs and engineering outcomes across solar PV, BESS and EV charging projectsManage key vendor, OEM and subcontractor relationships, including pricing and commercial negotiationsPartner with Sales and Project Delivery to ensure clear project scopes and smooth handovers from bid through to mobilisationProvide senior technical input during customer workshops,



site assessments, design reviews and bid presentationsDrive technical governance, quality, compliance and continuous improvement across the functionBuild a high-performing, accountable and customer-focused teamExperience requiredYou'll be an experienced technical leader with a solid understanding of both the commercial and engineering considerations behind renewable energy projects.5+ years' leadership experience across estimation, engineering, technical pre-sales or a related functionExperience within renewable energy, construction or complex infrastructureA tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related technical disciplineStrong knowledge of solar PV, BESS, EV charging and grid connection requirementsCommercial acumen, including financial modelling, project costing and margin managementExperience managing vendors, OEMs and subcontractorsStrong stakeholder and customer-facing skillsThe ability to confidently lead complex technical and commercial discussionsFlexibility to travel across Victoria and interstate as required
