HVAC BIM Coordinator | Brisbane Based | Sydney Digital Infrastructure Projects | $130k–$140k + SuperAn exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced HVACBIM Coordinator to join a leading mechanical services contractor delivering major commercial and digital infrastructure projects across Australia.Based in Brisbane offices of a national Tier I Mechanical contractor, you will work on major Sydney-based projects, providing the opportunity to remain Brisbane-based while being involved in some of the most technically demanding construction projects in the market.This is a hands-on role for an experienced BIM professional who can take ownership of BIM coordination across major projects and work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, consultants, contractors and drafting teams.The RoleAs Lead BIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, with a strong focus on constructability, clash detection, model quality and coordination with construction teams.You will play a key role in identifying and resolving design and coordination issues before they impact construction.Key ResponsibilitiesReview drawings and 3D models from consultants and contractorsConduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks ManageAudit and review models using Autodesk RevitLead weekly BIM coordination meetings with project stakeholdersUndertake early design reviews and constructability analysisManage and update BIM project documentationUndertake 3D model quantity extraction and verificationAssist with 4D scheduling and simulation using NavisworksMentor and develop junior BIM Modellers,
trainees and apprenticesDevelop scopes of work for external drafting subcontractorsManage and coordinate external drafting subcontractorsMaintain close communication with Project Managers and Construction ManagersProduce conceptual fabrication drawings for tender and pricing proposalsEnsure BIM coordination supports project programme, budget and construction requirementsAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:5+ years' experience in BIM coordination, modelling or draftingA relevant drafting qualification/certificateStrong experience with Autodesk RevitStrong experience with Navisworks Manage, particularly clash detection and coordinationExperience working within a construction environmentStrong understanding of 3D modelling and BIM coordinationThe ability to identify design and constructability issues before they reach siteExcellent communication skills and confidence coordinating with project and construction teamsExperience managing or mentoring junior BIM professionalsStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple project requirementsExperience across mechanical, HVAC or building services projects will be highly regarded.What's on Offer?
