Hope & Integrity care services – Main Beach QLDLocation: Gold Coast, Brisbane, Bayside Brisbane, Logan & IpswichAbout the roleDISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER – EXPERIENCEDJOIN A TEAM WHERE EXPERIENCE, CONNECTION AND INTEGRITY MATTERHope & Integrity Care Services is seeking experienced, reliable and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across Gold Coast, Brisbane, Bayside Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich.We are specifically looking for people with genuine, hands‐on disability support experience who understand that quality support goes well beyond completing a list of tasks.For us, great support is about building trust, communicating clearly, understanding the individual and developing genuine professional relationships that allow participants to feel safe, respected and supported.Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of hands‐on disability support experience.Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate extensive experience in High‐Intensity Support, Behaviour Support, or both.We also highly value support workers who can demonstrate strong communication skills, emotional maturity, reliability and the ability to build genuine connections with the people they support.If you are an experienced Disability Support Worker who takes pride in the quality of your work and wants to provide meaningful, person‐centred support, we would like to hear from you.OUR SERVICE LOCATIONSWe are currently recruiting across:You do not need to work across every location.
We encourage applicants who can reliably travel to and work within one or more of these service areas to apply.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Disability Support Worker with Hope & Integrity Care Services, you will provide individualised support based on each participant's needs, goals, preferences and support plan.Depending on the participant, your responsibilities may include:Supporting participants with personal care and activities of daily livingAssisting with meal preparation, household tasks and development of independent living skillsSupporting community access, appointments, activities and social participationBuilding positive, respectful and professional relationships with participantsProviding emotional support and meaningful companionship while maintaining appropriate professional boundariesSupporting participants to work towards their individual NDIS goalsFollowing participant support plans, risk management strategies and Behaviour Support Plans where applicableSupporting participants with complex or high‐intensity support needs within your training and assessed competenciesRecognising changes in a participant's presentation and escalating concerns appropriatelyRespecting participant choice, dignity, privacy and independenceCompleting clear, accurate and timely shift notes, progress notes and incident documentationCommunicating clearly and professionally with participants, families, colleagues and other relevant stakeholdersWHO WE'RE LOOKING FORWe are looking for experienced support workers who combine practical capability with the interpersonal qualities required to build trust and meaningful professional relationships.To be considered, you should have:A minimum of 1 year of hands‐on disability support work experienceDemonstrated experience supporting people with disability in home and/or community settingsStrong verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to build genuine rapport,



trust and professional relationships with participantsA person‐centred approach that respects dignity, choice, independence and individual preferencesConfidence supporting participants with diverse and potentially complex needsReliability, punctuality and consistencyEmotional maturity and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situationsA clear understanding of professional boundaries and participant confidentialityAbility to follow support plans, Behaviour Support Plans, workplace procedures and NDIS requirementsAbility to work independently while remaining accountable to the broader teamConfidence completing accurate progress notes and escalating incidents or concerns appropriatelyA Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification is preferred.HIGHLY REGARDED EXPERIENCE – HIGH‐INTENSITY & BEHAVIOUR SUPPORTPreference will be given to applicants with substantial practical experience in one or both of the following areas:HIGH‐INTENSITY SUPPORTWe highly value candidates with demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex or high‐intensity needs, which may include:Complex personal careManual handling and transfersMealtime management and dysphagia‐related supportsEnteral feeding/PEG supportMedication assistanceCatheter‐related supportComplex bowel careComplex wound careOther high‐intensity or complex daily support needsApplicants should only undertake high‐intensity supports for which they have the appropriate training, competency and participant‐specific assessment.BEHAVIOUR SUPPORTWe also highly value candidates with substantial experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern and complex behavioural needs.Relevant experience may include:Working effectively with Behaviour Support PlansUnderstanding individual triggers, communication needs and early warning signsApplying proactive support and de‐escalation strategiesMaintaining a calm and respectful approach during periods of escalationSupporting participant choice while appropriately managing riskAccurate documentation and reporting of behavioural incidentsWorking collaboratively with families, behaviour support practitioners and other professionalsCandidates with strong experience across BOTH High‐Intensity Support and Behaviour Support will be particularly well suited to some of our more complex participant support requirements.COMMUNICATION & GENUINE CONNECTION MATTER TO USTechnical experience is significant, but so is how you work with people.We value support workers who take the time to understand the person behind the support plan.You should be able to communicate clearly, listen, build trust and develop a genuine professional connection with participants while maintaining appropriate boundaries.We want participants and their families to experience consistency — support workers who arrive when expected, understand the participant's routines and preferences, communicate respectfully and genuinely care about helping the person achieve greater independence and quality of life.AVAILABILITYAlongside experience,



reliable availability is an important consideration when matching workers with participants.We are particularly interested in applicants with broad availability across:You do not need to be available seven days a week.We welcome experienced applicants who can provide at least 2–3 consistent days of availability each week.
