This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Yan Melbourne Asian Smokehouse as a Sous Chef.
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality dishes to our discerning customers.
This full-time position is based in our restaurant located in South Yarra VIC ****.What you'll be doingAssisting the Head Chef in the management and supervision of the kitchen teamHelping to create and execute innovative seasonal menus that showcase the best of local and seasonal produceEnsuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standardsMonitoring inventory levels and placing orders as neededTraining and developing kitchen staff to maintain high standards of culinary excellenceCollaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experienceWhat we're looking forMinimum of 1.5 years' experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a reputable restaurant or hospitality establishmentQualifications in commercial cookery certificate 3 or 4, or diploma of hospitality managementExcellent knowledge of food preparation techniques,
