$80,600 to $108,637 per annum (based 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight.
Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

Check out our employee value proposition and what it is like to work at Hornsby Shire Council.About the roleCouncil is seeking a pro-active, enthusiastic Building Certifier who has outstanding organisational skills and who has demonstrated knowledge in building certification, fire safety, land-use planning, swimming pool safety, compliance and the regulatory functions that follow the building certification legislative framework.In this role, you will utilise your extensive knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act ****, Protection of the Setting Operations Act ****, Local Government Act ****, Swimming Pools Act ****,
National Construction Code and other delegated NSW legislation.Position requirementsYou will hold:qualifications recognised by NSW Building Commission for registration as a Building Certifierrelevant practical experiencevalid NSW Drivers LicenceAbout youThe successful applicant will work closely with the Building Certifications Team Leader proactively keeping them informed on Building Certification matters including Building Information Certificates, Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, Swimming Pool Barrier inspections and Fire Safety.You will be required to utilise sound negotiation, building certification and regulatory skills to deliver outcomes in line with Council's Operational Plan and Delivery Program.
