The department plays an significant system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres, operated by Early Learning Victoria.
About the Division
The Communications Division collaborates with key stakeholders to strategically shape and deliver communication and community engagement opportunities.
The division is responsible for the delivery of communications on behalf of the department to support and improve Victoria's education system.
The division support the Victorian Government priorities in early childhood development and school education.
This includes engaging with the Department's workforce, supporting the implementation of policies and reforms, protecting, and strengthening the reputation of our education and communications support and advice to the Victorian Government.
About the Portfolio branch
Supporting early childhood and school education, the branch delivers campaigns and strategic communications solutions across Victoria.
This role is in the early childhood branch.
About the role
The role requires an experienced Senior Social Media Advisor.
The social media advisor will lead the establishment and growth of social media channels for Early Learning Victoria – an early learning and childcare provider operated by the Victorian Government.
The Senior Digital Communications Advisor – Social Media
* Leads the social media strategy for Early Learning Victoria – identifying growth and engagement strategies
* Establishes governance processes and social media response protocols
* Establishes social media accounts, including Facebook and Instagram
* Leads content ideation, planning,



development and posting, to help achieve recruitment and enrolment objectives
* Promotes social media accounts within social media platforms
* Monitors, moderates and maintains social media accounts
* Plans for future maintenance of the accounts
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Communications or relevant qualification.
