voco Gold Coast is looking for a Part-Time Commis Chef to join our talented Kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in what they create and wants to develop their skills alongside an experienced team.
A little taste of your day-to-day /n
As our Commis Chef, you’ll support the Kitchen team across daily food preparation and service, helping us deliver consistently outstanding dining experiences for our guests.
/n
You’ll be responsible for:
/n
/n
- Preparing and presenting dishes to a high standard
/n
- Supporting the kitchen team across preparation and service
/n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
/n
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
/n
- Assisting with stock rotation, storage and minimising food waste
/n
- Working collaboratively with chefs and the wider Food & Beverage team
/n
- Bringing a positive attitude and willingness to learn every shift
/n
What we’re looking for /n
You’ll be someone who:
/n
/n
- Has previous experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally within a hotel or similar environment
/n
- Has a genuine passion for food and hospitality
/n
- Works well as part of a busy, supportive team
/n
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work
/n
- Is reliable, organised and able to work under pressure
/n
- Has flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
/n
- Holds relevant cookery qualifications
/n
