Troocoo is partnering with a leading defence contractor seeking an experienced Aviation Supply Chain & Logistics Lead to provide immediate leadership during a period of growth and transformation.
Supporting operations across Brisbane, Perth, Learmonth, Cairns, and Darwin, this role will ensure aircraft availability, inventory performance, and supply chain continuity across a complex, highly regulated environment.
This is not a traditional supply chain leadership role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing critical aviation procurement and logistics activities, supporting operational aircraft fleets, responding to AOG requirements and building relationships across a broad network of suppliers, repair organisations and aviation service providers.
For candidates based in Brisbane, there is genuine potential for the contract to convert into a permanent leadership appointment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead aviation inventory planning, procurement and replenishment activities
- Source high-value and critical aircraft components through domestic and global supplier networks
- Manage AOG events, unplanned maintenance requirements and supply disruptions
- Coordinate aircraft parts logistics across multiple operational locations
- Manage relationships with OEMs, distributors, repair organisations and logistics providers
- Partner closely with CAMO and Part 145 maintenance providers
- Ensure compliance across CASA, FAA, EASA, IATA DGR and ITAR requirements
- Monitor inventory performance, supplier performance and operational readiness
- Support the ongoing development of Australian supply chain capability, systems and processes
About You
To be successful,
you will bring proven experience operating within a civil aviation supply chain environment and understand the urgency, complexity and compliance requirements associated with supporting operational aircraft fleets.
You will also demonstrate:
- Strong aviation procurement, logistics and inventory management experience
- Proven experience sourcing aircraft components through commercial aviation networks
- Experience supporting AOG and operational maintenance requirements
- Working knowledge of CAMO and Part 145 environments
- Understanding of CASA, FAA and EASA requirements
- Exposure to dangerous goods and ITAR-controlled materials
- Strong supplier management and stakeholder engagement capability
- The ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions

Essential Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance
- Demonstrated civil aviation supply chain experience
- Available to commence within short timeframes
