DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Facilities Management Officer (ASO6) to join a large South Australian Government agency. This is an exciting opportunity for a facilities professional with strong stakeholder engagement, contractor management, and asset management experience to contribute to the effective delivery of facilities services across a diverse property portfolio.
About the Role
Working within a high-performing Facilities Management team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a broad range of facilities and accommodation services to support business operations across multiple sites.
This role combines operational facilities management with strategic planning and project delivery, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate facilities operations, maintenance activities, repairs, and accommodation services
- Manage contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with service standards and contractual obligations
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programs
- Monitor facilities-related budgets, expenditure, and reporting requirements
- Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on facilities management matters
- Support facilities projects, refurbishments, and improvement initiatives
- Contribute to asset lifecycle planning and long-term facilities strategies
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About You
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Experience working in facilities, property, asset, or accommodation management
- Strong knowledge of facilities operations and contractor management practices
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and service providers
- High-level communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Experience within a government or large-scale organisational environment will be highly regarded
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
