Innisfail Hospital in Queensland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a four-week contract from 21 December 2026 to 18 January 2027. This is an ideal opportunity for a clinician looking to contribute to a busy ED workplace during the summer period, bringing strong emergency nursing skills and a commitment to delivering quality care across both adult and paediatric presentations.
- Four-week contract role in a dynamic emergency department setting
- Care for diverse patient presentations, including both adult and paediatric cases
- Work alongside an established ED team in regional Queensland
Preferred Requirements
- Demonstrated emergency department experience with proven clinical competency
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Proficiency with ieMR and FirstNet systems
- Triage competency and ability to assess and prioritise patients effectively
- Comfort and confidence caring for both adult and paediatric patients in an acute setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in emergency nursing
- Familiarity with Queensland Health systems and protocols
