Applicants are expected to show a keen interest in their ongoing professional development and a mastery of the nursing basics.

The Introduction to Cardiology program is an entry level into cardiac nursing at Western Health. Participants join the highly skilled cardiac nursing team as they experience the specialty of cardiac nursing. The program is 12 months in duration and allows participants to develop new skills and knowledge via clinical and theoretical experiences.

Key responsibilities:

Participants will contribute to the management of patients experiencing myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, acute heart failure and other cardiac conditions.
