We're seeking an experienced and purpose-driven Youth Services Manager in Welshpool (Perth WA), with regular travel to Armadale and Leederville to lead a diverse portfolio of youth programs across Western Australia. Reporting to the GM Youth, Communities & Leisure Services, you'll provide leadership to the team, drive program excellence, build strategic partnerships and help create positive outcomes for young people and communities across WA. What you'll be doing
If you enjoy variety keep reading. You'll manage the design, development and implementation of a suite of services and programs which reflect the Y WA's Approach to Youth Work and Counselling. You'll also keep abreast of potential new service opportunities, identifying youth & community needs and partnership possibilities. However ultimately, you'll stand behind your team and lead with inspiration, providing endless guidance, support and opportunity for growth and development.
Although let's not forget the nitty-gritty. You'll work with your three Youth Services Coordinators to develop services that are safe, welcoming and fun to all young people, whilst managing the operational requirements including budget management contract administration, funding submissions, program evaluation and reporting.
You'll be great in this role if you have
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced working environment
- Extensive experience managing youth, community or related programs and services
- Robust strategic and operational planning capability
- Proven budget management and financial acumen
- Ability to build and maintain productive partnerships with government, community and funding stakeholders
- A passion for empowering young people and creating positive community outcomes
- A tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Development, Social Sciences, Human Services or related discipline
- Excellent written communication and reporting skills
- Current unrestricted Driver's Licence
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain
