The Chance
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join to be part of a successful and growing team based in Dandenong South. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for that next step career with a growing business. The successful candidate will be rewarded with salary package based on experience and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with year-end accounts
- Manage general ledger, journals, and reconciliations
- Preparation of AU and NZ tax related reporting, including BAS and FBT
- Manage and support compliance with ATO, ASIC and statutory obligations
- Monitor accounts payable/receivable and cash flow
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Involvement in internal control and process improvement projects
Skills & experience required:
A successful candidate will have:
- CA/CPA qualified and/or degree qualification in accounting with good technical accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with SAP Business One strongly preferred
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, or AI and data tools
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into insights
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work efficiently whilst managing a range of responsibilities.
- Commitment to meeting deadlines whilst maintaining high standard of quality of work.
- A confident, team player with a positive attitude and can think outside the box
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to liaise at all levels.
