As a Speech Pathology Practice Educator, you will play a key role in developing the future speech pathology workforce and strengthening clinical practice across our residential aged care services. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with your passion for education, leadership and workforce development to make a meaningful difference for older people, students and healthcare professionals.

Joining the RMH Speech Pathology team, you will be part of an integrated multidisciplinary service delivering care across acute, subacute, community and residential aged care settings throughout Melbourne Health. You will help build clinical capability, promote evidence-based practice and support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

As a senior clinical education and leadership role, you will be responsible for the strategic design, coordination and delivery of speech pathology education and training across RMH Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs).

You will:

- Lead innovative education and clinical placement programs for speech pathology students within aged care settings
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, clinical excellence and professional development
- Promote best practice in communication, swallowing and mealtime management, supporting residents' independence, informed choice, dignity of risk and quality of life
- Develop sustainable education systems, competency frameworks, governance and reporting processes
- Collaborate with residential aged care leaders, multidisciplinary teams,



universities and professional organisations to strengthen workforce capability
- Lead education-focused quality improvement, research and knowledge translation initiatives
- Represent RMH Speech Pathology through professional networks, education forums and sector-wide collaborations

About You

You are an experienced Speech Pathologist and educator with a strong commitment to developing others and improving outcomes for older people. You will bring:

- Extensive clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist, ideally with experience in aged care, dysphagia and communication management
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical education, supervision and workforce development
- Robust knowledge of contemporary aged care practice, quality standards and accreditation requirements
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Experience designing, implementing and evaluating education and professional development programs
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and person-centred care
- The ability to inspire, influence and lead change across diverse teams and clinical settings
