We are seeking an experienced and relationship-focused Fundraising & Partnerships Manager to lead our fundraising, philanthropy and partnership activities for an exciting six-month contract opportunity.
This is an outstanding role for a strategic fundraiser who is passionate about community impact and has a proven ability to secure philanthropic support, develop corporate partnerships, and grow sustainable income streams.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Manager, Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland, you will lead the development and delivery of fundraising, philanthropy and partnership initiatives that strengthen the financial sustainability and community impact of our local services. You will build and manage relationships with donors, philanthropic organisations, trusts and foundations, corporate partners, community groups and other key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing an integrated fundraising and partnerships strategy.
- Managing a diversified fundraising portfolio including philanthropy, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, community fundraising and corporate partnerships.
- Identifying, cultivating and stewarding donors and strategic partners.
- Preparing compelling funding proposals, grant applications, sponsorship packages and impact reports.
- Coordinating fundraising campaigns, appeals and community fundraising initiatives.
- Developing sustainable, multi-year funding opportunities.
- Monitoring performance against income targets and providing regular reporting and forecasting.
- Ensuring fundraising activity complies with relevant legislation, ethical standards and organisational policies.
About You
You are an accomplished fundraising professional who can successfully engage supporters, inspire investment and develop strategic partnerships that deliver measurable outcomes.
To be successful you will bring:
- Significant experience in fundraising, philanthropy and partnership development.
- Demonstrated success securing major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, sponsorships or philanthropic funding.
- Experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies that achieve sustainable income growth.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent proposal writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Sound financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience using CRM or donor management systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- A commitment to ethical fundraising and working with purpose-led organisations.
Desirable
- Experience in the not-for-profit, mental health or community services sector.
- Knowledge of the Lifeline movement.
- Established networks within Sydney's philanthropic, corporate or community fundraising sectors.
