About the role
Royal Life Saving WA (RLSSWA) is seeking a Training Quality and Compliance Manager to join the Vocational Training Team. The role ensures all training and assessment products, systems, and practices comply with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), regulatory obligations, and funding contract requirements. The position will also lead the design, development, validation, and review of high-quality training and assessment resources. The Training Quality and Compliance Manager will foster a culture of quality assurance, educational excellence, industry engagement, and continuous improvement across the organisation's training operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead RTO compliance culture of self-assurance through continuous monitoring and improvement to maintain alignment with regulatory requirements
- Support a culture of training quality, student focussed support and wellbeing
- Lead change management processes across the RTO
- Support a collaborative working environment across education and training teams
- Lead the design and implementation of innovative face-to-face, workplace, and eLearning strategies and resources
- Ensure the Trainer workforce has credentials with vocational currency and competency
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of training and assessment strategies (TAS)
- Coordinate Scheduling and Enrolments, Delivery and Student Support, Quality and Course Development, Trainer and Workplace Engagement
About you
- Desired diploma or higher qualification in Training and Assessment or equivalent
- Sound understanding of the Standards for RTOs, AQF framework, and national and state regulatory and reporting requirements
- Ability to lead the design of innovative face-to-face, workplace, and eLearning strategies and resources
- Experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS), validation plans, and learning and assessment resources
- Experience in conducting or managing internal audits, responding to non-compliance, and implementing remedial actions
- Experience in the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), student management systems, and other digital training technologies
- Ability to support training managers to collaborate with administrative staff and key stakeholders in the development and delivery of vocational training
