Full Job Description
Position: Early Childhood Director
Status: Full-Time Permanent
Salary: $115,817.68 (inclusive of all benefits/allowances including Worker Retention Payment) plus superannuation
Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood, or ACECQA approved equivalent

We’re looking for an experienced Early Childhood Director to lead our team at Granny Glasgow’s Day Care Centre. We’re also keen to hear from experienced 2ICs or Assistant Directors who are ready to take the next step in their leadership career.

Granny Glasgow’s is a 58-place service with rooms defined by purpose – Art Studio, Café, Explorers and Babies. The centre operates Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5.30pm and is supported by One Tree Community Services, a national not-for-profit organisation.

What you’ll do

- Lead, support and mentor a team of educators
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service
- Build strong partnerships with children, families, staff and the local community
- Manage rosters and ensure regulatory ratio requirements are met
- Drive continuous improvement and service compliance
- Support staff development, recruitment and performance
- Manage service budgets and funding
- Oversee Workplace Health & Safety requirements
- Deliver curriculum in accordance with One Tree’s philosophy as the service’s Educational Leader
- Act as Responsible Person, First Aid Officer and Nominated Supervisor of the service

What you’ll bring





- Strong leadership experience within early childhood education – experienced 2ICs or Assistant Directors ready to step into a Director role are encouraged to apply
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience building positive relationships with staff, families and community
- Experience supporting high-quality practice within an early education and care setting
- Experience leading and developing staff
- A commitment to continuous improvement and quality service delivery
- Knowledge of relevant state and Commonwealth legislation and regulations
- A willingness to embrace regional living and become part of the Carnarvon community

Certifications & Licences required

- Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA approved equivalent
- Transparent WA Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
- Current Senior First Aid and CPR certificates
- Valid driver’s licence
