Our Business Units
BWE Drilling - Drill & Blast
Our Drill & Blast division delivers full production drilling and specialised blasting services across mining and civil projects. Services are designed to achieve high productivity while minimising impact on surrounding environments and active operations.
BWE Drilling - Exploration
Our Exploration division is an established drilling contractor supporting exploration and mining programs with Air Core, Reverse Circulation and Diamond Drilling services. The team works across diverse greenfield and brownfield projects in Australia.
BWE Drilling - Waterwell
Our Waterwell division specialises in water bore drilling and well services, operating across local government and Tier 1 mining clients in Australia. Projects range from mine‑site water supply to deep artesian bore drilling.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, interviewing, selection and onboarding.
- Provide advice to managers and employees on workplace relations, policies, performance and disciplinary matters.
- Maintain personnel records and HR information systems (ELMO).
- Coordinate employee inductions and provide information on employment conditions,
remuneration and career opportunities within the BWE Group.
- Provide advice on the Fair Work Act, legislation, awards and employment contracts.
- Assist with workplace negotiations, employee grievances, disputes and performance matters.
- Support the development, implementation and review of workplace policies, procedures and employment agreements.
- Support workforce planning, employee engagement and HR initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate workforce information.
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders and employees through regular site visits across WA and NT.
About You
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources.
- 5+ years' experience in Human Resources, ideally within the mining/resources sector.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards and workplace relations.
- Experience across recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR administration.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- FIFO or site-based experience working with a remote workforce in a contracting workplace is highly regarded.
- Practical and solutions-focused approach.
Requirements
- Proof of right to work in Australia;
- National Police Clearance within the last 6 months.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- Ability to travel to operational sites on a monthly basis, working a site-based rotation of 5/2, 5/2, 5/2, 4/3.
