Retail Store Manager, Mildura

Full-time | 7-day service station | TASCO Petroleum

Do you love leading a team and running a busy, customer-focused business? We're looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to take charge of a local, prominent service station, a 7-day operation with fuel, a kitchen, hot and cold food, takeaway, beverages and convenience items.

You'll be responsible for sales performance, profitability, service standards and a great team, and you'll have the autonomy to make the store your own.

What you'll do

- Run the daily operations of the retail store and fuel forecourt
- Set revenue targets and track actual sales performance
- Develop and carry out strategies to lift profitability and grow the business
- Manage merchandising, promotional displays and store presentation to drive sales
- Monitor operating costs and manage the store budget
- Analyse sales, margin and financial reports to spot trends and improve results
- Manage purchasing, pricing, stock levels and inventory systems
- Monitor stock loss and wastage
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve enquiries and complaints
- Recruit, train, supervise and roster staff
- Ensure compliance with company policies and workplace health and safety requirements

About you

- At least 2 years' experience in a retail supervisory or management role (food service experience is not required but is highly regarded)
- A proven record of setting and managing sales targets, budgets and financial reporting




- Strong leadership and team management skills
- A solid understanding of purchasing and stock management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of food handling and food safety compliance
- Food Safety Supervisor certification, or a willingness to obtain it
