Infinity Pro is seeking an ICT Project Manager with solid infrastructure delivery and organisational change experience for a contract opportunity with a Federal Government agency.
Working within an IT Service Management environment, you will support end-user refresh and workplace-related ICT initiatives, coordinating technical teams, service providers and business stakeholders. Your responsibilities will span project scope, requirements, budgets, schedules, risks, testing, implementation and business acceptance.
This opportunity suits an Infrastructure Project Manager, EUC Project Manager or Technical Project Manager who combines delivery discipline with the ability to prepare users and stakeholders for change.
Essential Experience
- Extensive experience managing ICT infrastructure projects in complex environments, with responsibility for scope, schedules, resources, risks, budgets and delivery outcomes
- Organisational change-management experience, including developing change approaches and plans, assessing readiness, supporting sponsors and preparing users for implementation
- Requirements definition and management, including stakeholder workshops, prioritisation, agreed requirements baselines and traceability
- Project financial management, including costing, budgeting, expenditure monitoring, forecasting and accurate financial records and reporting
- Strong stakeholder relationship management across business sponsors, technical teams, vendors,
service providers and end users
- Procurement and vendor/contract-management skills, with effective negotiation, influencing, problem-solving and conflict-resolution capability
- Experience overseeing testing assurance, user acceptance testing, implementation, deployment and formal acceptance of project deliverables
- Practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid project delivery, together with ICT service-management principles and relevant government standards

- Experience allocating project work, coaching colleagues and monitoring team performance and quality against agreed objectives
What you will work on
- Plan and coordinate end-user refresh and ICT infrastructure delivery, working with project leads, technical teams and service providers
- Establish and maintain project scope, schedules, resource plans, budgets, governance and reporting
- Facilitate requirements workshops and decision-making forums, aligning business needs with technical delivery
- Develop organisational change and readiness plans, with clear communications for users, sponsors and other stakeholders
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, procurement activities and change control across multiple delivery teams
- Coordinate testing, user acceptance,
implementation and deployment activities
- Prepare project reports and benefits-realisation plans, and support assurance and compliance
- Transfer knowledge to departmental staff and maintain clear, reliable project documentation
The role is based in Canberra. You will initially work full-time onsite for three months or until you understand the ICT landscape, requirements and project objectives. Flexible arrangements may be considered afterward, subject to approval, with at least three days per week onsite in Canberra.
