Role Summary
We are looking to fill the role of a Casual Contract Administrator (Cadet) with flexible work hours to join our Team
This position requires a minimum commitment of 26-30 hours per week.
As building cadet (Contract Administration), you will be responsible for tasks which are set out in the responsibilities below.
You will work closely with the Managing Directors and Project Managers to ensure seamless operation of the business, timely completion of projects & expedited estimating of prospective jobs.
Role Responsibilities
- General administration and document management tasks.
- Ensuring comprehensive project records are established and maintained.
- Purchasing materials for projects including raising purchase orders.
- Ensuring company databases and filing are kept up to date.
- Assisting with tenders submissions including obtaining quotes, estimating and compiling tender documentation.
- Liaising with various stakeholders both internally and externally and manage relationships with existing clients.
- Assisting with OH&S; documentation.
- Assisting with creation of project documentation on commencement and completion.
- Assisting in administering EOT, Delay Notice and Variations.
- Assisting in preparation and review of all subcontractor and supplier contracts in accordance with the budget and scope of works.
- Keeping track of projects costs and issue invoices/progress claims accordingly using the Xero accounting portal.
Reporting Structure
The Contract Administrator (Cadet) position reports directly to the Managing Directors.
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Currently studying a Cert 4 in Building or related Bachelor's degree or related field
- Good computer literacy
- Experience with Microsoft office
- Xero experience is highly regarded
- Strong analytical skills and effective communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to work in a small team environment
- Desire to learn all aspects of the building/construction industry.
- Must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen
