We have opportunities ranging from entry-level Optical Assistant positions through to qualified Optical Dispenser and Optical Retail Management roles, with salary and responsibilities reflecting your experience, skills and qualifications.

You’ll have the prospect to learn:

- The day-to-day operation of a progressive optometry practice

For the right candidate, we also support further professional development, including the opportunity to complete the Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing.

We want experienced Dispensers who can provide expert advice while also appreciating that exceptional optical dispensing is about more than measurements and lenses.





It is about understanding the person in front of you, combining technical expertise with style, and helping each patient find eyewear that allows them to see well, look great and feel confident.

For candidates with the right experience and leadership capability, there are also opportunities to progress into senior dispensing, team leadership and Optical Dispensary management roles.

The opportunity

Our Optical Dispensary team is central to the entire Innovative Eye Care patient experience.

From the first phone call and welcome into the practice, through to eyewear styling, lens selection, dispensing, collection, adjustments and ongoing care, you will play an important role in how our patients experience our business.

The position is varied and hands-on and can include:

- Eyewear styling and fashion

- Optical dispensing

- Sales and customer service

- Patient care

- Frame fitting and adjustments

- Front-of-house and administration

- Merchandising and presentation

- Practice operations

- Stock and eyewear management

- Teamwork and problem solving

Depending on your experience, you may begin by learning patient care, administration and eyewear styling before progressing further into optical dispensing.

Experienced Optical Dispensers will be able to apply their existing technical skills immediately while continuing to develop within the practice.
