Put your trade expertise to work on a major WA construction project with an established international industrial services contractor.
HR & Staffing Solutions is seeking experienced Electricians and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) Technicians on behalf of a respected employer delivering specialist services across mining, resources, energy and heavy industry.
With extensive experience in major construction and maintenance projects, our client combines skilled tradespeople, experienced leadership and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You will join a professional site team where technical expertise, reliable delivery and pride in your workmanship are valued.
Offering an 2 weeks on, 1 week off FIFO roster from Perth, 12-hour days and attractive remuneration, these roles provide project work planned through to July 2027, with potential for further opportunities.

Electricians
About the role - Working closely with the Electrical Supervisor and wider construction team, you will carry out electrical installation, testing and construction activities in accordance with project drawings, specifications and site requirements.
Your duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, specifications and work packs.
- Installing cable trays, cable ladders, conduits and associated cable support systems.
- Installing, pulling, dressing, glanding and terminating electrical cables.
- Installing and connecting electrical equipment, lighting, distribution boards and associated components.
- Completing electrical inspections and testing, including continuity and insulation resistance testing, as required.
- Identifying installation faults and carrying out corrective work within your authorised scope.
- Supporting commissioning activities and resolving electrical defects.
- Following site permit,
isolation and lockout procedures.
- Completing installation checklists, test records and relevant project documentation.
- Coordinating with supervisors and other trades to meet daily work priorities.
- Maintaining safe work areas and reporting hazards, defects and construction constraints.
Requirements for Electricians:
- Electrical trade qualification.
- Current WA Electrical Worker’s Licence, or the ability to obtain one before commencing on site.
- Proven electrical installation experience in heavy industrial construction / shutdown / maintenance
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and complete installations to specification.
- Current White Card or Construction Card
- Current driver’s licence.
- First Aid completed within the last three years.
- CPR and Low Voltage Rescue completed within the last 12 months.
- High Risk Work Licence – WP.
- Working at Heights ticket.
- Australian working rights.
- Current National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
- Previous FIFO or mine site experience, Rio Tinto induction, an HR driver’s licence and Confined Spaces training will be highly regarded.
E&I; Technicians — Electrical & Instrumentation
About the role - Working with the Electrical Supervisor and construction team, you will install, inspect, test and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems. You will bring practical instrumentation experience and sound fault-finding skills to support construction and commissioning activities.
Your duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, instrumentation diagrams, loop drawings and work packs.
- Installing field instruments and associated equipment for measuring and monitoring process conditions.
- Installing, glanding and terminating electrical, instrumentation and control cables.
- Connecting instruments, junction boxes, panels and associated control equipment.
- Checking instrument installation, identification and connections against project specifications.
- Performing instrument calibration and functional testing within your scope.
- Completing loop checks and supporting verification of signals between field instruments and control systems.
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and instrumentation faults.
- Supporting pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Recording calibration results, loop checks, test outcomes and outstanding defects.
- Following permit, isolation and lockout procedures.
- Working closely with electricians, supervisors and commissioning personnel to resolve technical issues.
- Maintaining safe work practices and reporting hazards or equipment defects.
Requirements for E&I; Technicians:
- Electrical trade qualification.
- Current WA Electrical Worker’s Licence, or the ability to obtain one before commencing on site.
- Relevant instrumentation training and practical experience.
- Proven electrical and instrumentation experience in heavy industrial construction.
- Experience with field instruments, control systems, testing, calibration and commissioning support.
- Ability to interpret instrumentation diagrams, loop drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Current White Card or Construction Card
- Current driver’s licence.
- First Aid completed within the last three years.
