Morson Edge is working exclusively with Nordex to recruit a Project Manager – Operational Readiness to join its Project Management organisation.
The Role
The IT Support Coordinator is responsible for determining, developing and implementing an organisation's information technology goals. His activities can include reviewing and filling internal help requests and monitoring computer performance for potential problems. Administrative tasks include tracking computer-related orders and bills, maintaining license documentation and renewing upgrades.
As a member of the IT Support Team, the IT Support Coordinator will perform the same functions as the other IT Support Analyst staff in addition to supervising the overall workload with the goal of meeting performance measures. The IT Support Coordinator reports to the Managing Director of the Country providing services for the company supporting the operations including end user support, network troubleshooting and desktop support, vendors & inventory coordination.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in a variety of administrative matters
- Providing technical support for local business
- Supporting and implementing policies, procedures, and processes
- Monitoring the helpdesk and IT phone line for incoming service requests
- Managing ticket assignments, documentation, escalation, prioritization, and resolution
- Verifying helpdesk responses for accuracy and completeness
- Providing desktop support in areas such as hardware and software support and troubleshooting, hardware and software upgrades, and local Network connectivity
- Providing support for conference equipment, printers, Android, iOS, and other peripherals
- Ensuring consistent and effective delivery of services while maintaining compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- Maintaining documentation of sites, equipment, software, processes, and procedures.
- Act as Deputy Information Officer
- Act as Deputy Security Officer
- Other duties (not listed) may be assigned to this job at any time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Around 2 years’ experience in IT support, coordination, helpdesk or service desk environments.
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management with an IT focus, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of IT systems, hardware, software and connectivity, with experience assisting in troubleshooting common technical issues.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and maintaining basic IT documentation.
- Strong customer service, communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence supporting internal users and liaising with external vendors.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to following procedures, confidentiality and data security requirements.
- Proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge.
- Entry-level IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft Fundamentals (Azure/Microsoft 365) would be advantageous but are not essential.
