The Opportunity
Our Event, Activity & Function Assistants support our City Events and Place Activation team in the many wonderful events Maitland City Council holds for our community.
Some of our events upcoming include:
- The Levee Santa Photos
- New Years Eve
- Steamfest
- Luminous
- Riverlights
Duties within the role include tasks such as set up and pack down of equipment, ticket and merchandise sales, liaising with performers, entertainment and volunteers, general adhoc administrative tasks as well as cleaning and general labouring. The role does include working some weekends and outside of normal business hours.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have had exposure or the ability to demonstrate interest in working in an Events, Place Activation or function set up and delivery environment.
You will have a keen interest in supporting our community events and working alongside a diverse range of stakeholders.
You'll be a team player who can problem solve and be someone who excels at providing a high level of customer service whilst engaging with our community. You will have flexible availability to support with the events including outside of business hours and some weekend work.
Benefits:
The hourly pay rate for these roles is $40.97 (including 25% casual loading) plus weekend penalty rates (where applicable).
