Occupational Therapist / Speech Therapist

Occupational Therapist / Speech Therapist

$60–$100 per hour + Super | Casual / Ad Hoc | City of Sydney

Complete Staff Solutions is seeking experienced Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists to join an agency pool supporting City of Sydney Education and Care Services.

This is an exciting opportunity for qualified allied health professionals to provide specialist support across a range of early childhood education and care settings, helping educators build their confidence and capability to support children's inclusion, participation, wellbeing, development and learning.

About the Role

Working collaboratively with educators, coordinators and service leaders, you will provide practical, evidence-based strategies that can be implemented within everyday education and care environments.

Depending on your skilled discipline, you may provide guidance around:

- Communication and language development

- Social communication and interaction

- Sensory processing and emotional regulation

- Fine and gross motor development

- Self-help and independence skills

- Executive functioning

- Environmental adaptations and reasonable adjustments

- Inclusive learning environments

- Supporting children with developmental delays, disability and neurodiversity

- Transitions and participation in everyday routines

You may also be involved in educator coaching, mentoring, workshops, informal training and development of practical resources.

About You





We are seeking professionals who are confident working collaboratively with educators, families and other stakeholders and who can communicate specialist advice in a practical and easy-to-understand way.

You will have:

Speech Therapist

- Degree qualification in Speech Pathology

- Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia

- Current Working with Children Check

- Experience supporting communication and language development

- Knowledge of AAC, visual supports, social communication and early literacy

Occupational Therapist

- Degree qualification in Occupational Therapy

- Current AHPRA registration

- Current Working with Children Check

- Experience supporting sensory processing, regulation, motor development and independence

- Ability to recommend environmental adaptations and sensory-friendly strategies

For both disciplines, a sound understanding of child development from birth to 12 years and inclusive education and care practices is required.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Successful applicants will be required to provide:

- Current Police Check

- Two employment references

- Current Working with Children Check

- Relevant professional qualifications and registrations/memberships

Successful applicants must also demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing and comply with relevant child safety, mandatory reporting, training and organisational requirements.

Please note: Successful candidates may be selected for a drug and alcohol screen during their time at the City of Sydney.
