headspace Centresact as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/orwork and study support.
/n
The key principle within headspace is a commitment to providing age appropriate, youth friendly services which are engaging and acceptable to young people and that are congruent with the stage of development of the individual.

Role Overview: /n
/n
- Provide regular, adaptable, low level non-clinical support to service users, and assist them to review their needs and resources,
monitor activities identified in client Support Plans.
/n
- Enable clients to achieve independence as far as possible in all areas of their life by providing appropriate information, prospect, training and support
/n
- Routinely perform Outcome Measures, and other data collection.
/n
- Effective use of Supportability including self-management of rosters, record time and sign off of client activity, input journal entries and case notes.
/n
- Provide support (that is sensitive, client focused and community orientated), advocacy and information to our clients with the use of the recovery process
/n
- Attendance and participation in Communities of Practice, professional development and Critical incident management activities.
/n
Requirements: /n
/n
- Minimum of a Cert IV in a Community services related discipline (ideally a completed Bachelors or Diploma).
/n
- To haveexperienced a mental illness which is now under effective management or lived experience of caring for someone having gone through mental illness.
/n
- Knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Culture and the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Indigenous Clients.
/n
- Experience, skills and knowledge in working with people experiencing mental illness.
/n
- Understanding of and ability to apply the principles of a recovery-oriented, person-centered, and strengths-based approach to service delivery.
/n
- Ability to implement and facilitate capacity building activities with participants.
/n
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently.
/n
- Capacity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team across a range of organisations.
/n
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
/n
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
/n
- Current driver's license with a good driving history and a registered, well-maintained vehicle that is available to be used for the purposes of this role.
/n
