Business Development Manager Cybersecurity and Managed Services

You will lead new-business development across cybersecurity, managed security and IT services. Working with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs and business leaders, you will identify critical challenges, shape commercially relevant solutions and own opportunities from first contact to contract closure. Your focus will include Managed Security Services, SOC and MDR, endpoint, network, cloud and email security, EDR, XDR, SIEM and Zero Trust, vulnerability management and incident response, managed IT, infrastructure and cloud services, and cybersecurity assessments and compliance solutions.

Key responsibilities

- Develop new Australian mid-market and enterprise accounts
- Build a strong, qualified and accurately forecast sales pipeline
- Generate opportunities through direct prospecting, referrals, networking and industry events
- Engage senior business, technology, security and procurement decision-makers
- Lead discovery, qualification, stakeholder mapping and account planning
- Coordinate technical workshops, demonstrations and proofs of concept
- Develop and present compelling proposals and commercial solutions
- Manage objections, negotiations, tenders and contract discussions
- Close profitable new business and create cross-sell opportunities




- Build alliances with technology vendors, MSPs, system integrators and referral partners

About you

- At least five years of successful B2B technology sales or business-development experience
- A demonstrated record of generating, progressing and closing recent business
- Strong knowledge of the Australian technology market
- Experience selling cybersecurity, managed services, cloud, infrastructure or enterprise technology solutions
- Confidence engaging CIOs, CISOs, CTOs and other senior decision-makers
- Strong consultative selling, presentation, negotiation and proposal-development skills
- Experience managing RFPs, RFQs, tenders and enterprise procurement cycles
- Commercial discipline, resilience and the ability to work independently
- An established network of Australian technology and cybersecurity decision-makers will be a strong advantage
