About The Role:

The role is ideal for someone who thrives on initiative, ownership, and building strong foundations by strong people leadership.

Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre is a multiuse aquatic facility supporting an engaged community. The venue consists of 4 pools - 2 Artesian Pools, a Wellness pool, a Program Pool, plus a water slide.

About You:

As the Venue Manager of this exceptional facility, You will be an up-and-coming leader, who drives with vision and energy. You are passionate about leisure, wanting to join a growing organisation. You will be able to share insights into how you have successfully shaped high performance teams into business actions. You can easily articulate the link between employee engagement and exceptional business performance.

About the Responsibilities:

- Achievement of budgeted performance targets
- Maintain a high value relationship with our council partner and local stakeholders such as Tourism Moree
- Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of polices, processes and procedures.
- Coach and develop leaders to deliver on KPIs through engagement, performance planning and individual development plans.
- Lead and drive a high-performance community minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.




- Recruitment of energetic and passionate employees as required to compliment the team and the vision for the Venue.
- Maintain facilities to a great standard.

About the Qualifications:

- A minimum 2 years’ experience in managing a medium sized dynamic team ~60 employees
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes
- *Willing to obtain: CPR & First Aid Certificate, National Police Check, Working with Children Check
- Legal working rights in Australia

Desirable:

- Minimum aquatic operations
- Operational experience in aquatic, recreation or tourism facilities
- Great understanding of local government and processes
- Pool Lifeguard & Pool Operations Certificate
