Love social media and understand how to make it perform, both organically and through paid campaigns?

Carlile Swim is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our Marketing & Customer team, supporting our social media presence across a national network of more than 30 swim schools.

Working closely with our Group Marketing & Communications Manager, you’ll manage our social channels and content calendar, run and optimise paid campaigns and use performance insights to continually improve results. You’ll also create engaging social content and copy to support activity across our channels.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Manage Carlile Swim’s organic social presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Plan and manage our social content calendar across our national network
- Manage paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok and other relevant platforms, from set up through to optimisation and reporting
- Manage audiences, targeting, placements and campaign budgets within agreed plans
- Monitor campaign performance and use data to optimise creative, audiences and spend
- Test creative, messaging, audiences and placements to improve performance
- Use organic and paid social insights to continually improve results
- Create and edit social-first content, including short-form video, reels, stories and static creative
- Write engaging, on‑brand social copy across organic and paid channels
- Work with teams across Carlile Swim nationwide to uncover authentic stories and content from our centres

What We’re Looking For

- Minimum 2 years relevant experience across social media, digital marketing or a similar role
- Experience managing or supporting paid social campaigns , ideally across Meta and TikTok
- An understanding of key paid social metrics and the ability to analyse performance and make optimisation recommendations
- Strong organic social media knowledge across major platforms
- Confidence creating and editing photo and short-form video content, including proficiency in CapCut and Canva
- Strong written communication and the ability to write engaging, on‑brand social copy
- A creative, organised and collaborative approach

The role

An opportunity has arisen within our Marketing team for a full‑time Marketing and PR Coordinator , based at our corporate office in South Brisbane.

This is a hands‑on content and coordination role supporting the Foundation’s public relations, social media, storytelling and broader marketing activity.

Working closely with the Acting Senior Marketing Manager, PR and Content Manager and the broader Marketing and Mass Fundraising team, you will be responsible for:

- Creating engaging, on‑brand content for social and digital channels, including copy, simple graphics, photography and short‑form video.
- Scheduling and publishing content, maintaining content calendars and managing online community engagement.
- Supporting media monitoring, coverage reporting, media materials, interviews and proactive public relations opportunities.
- Coordinating ambassador, influencer and content creator activity, including briefs, schedules, assets, approvals and reporting.
- Supporting the development and capture of children’s and families’ stories, including consent records, photography and filming logistics.
- Providing administrative and coordination support across campaigns, content production, media activity and team projects.
- Helping deliver integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns through content production, proofing, asset coordination and project support.
- Monitoring content and social performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Who are you?

You are a creative and highly organised coordinator who enjoys turning ideas into engaging content. You are curious about what makes audiences pay attention and motivated to build your skills across social media, content creation, public relations and integrated campaigns.

You will bring:

- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with an eye for accuracy, tone and brand consistency.
- Proven content creation skills, with experience producing reels, short‑form video, social content, photography and other digital assets that drive engagement.
- A practical, hands‑on approach to creating social and digital content.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Confidence working collaboratively and providing responsive support across a busy marketing team.
- Curiosity, sound judgement and a willingness to learn and contribute new ideas.

Key criteria

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, digital media or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- One to two years’ experience in marketing, communications, social media, content creation or a related coordinator role.



Strong graduates with relevant practical experience may also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging social and digital content, including copy, straightforward graphics, photography and short‑form video.
- Working knowledge of major social media platforms, content scheduling, community management and basic analytics.
- An interest in public relations and earned media, with some experience or a strong willingness to learn media monitoring, pitching and media coordination.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with Canva, WordPress, video editing, photography, customer relationship management or email marketing platforms would be highly regarded.
- Experience in the not‑for‑profit or health sectors would be advantageous.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a positive Blue Card.
