We are seeking an experienced Site Automation Engineer to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in automation systems. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of theatre automation processes.
We are a small business working within the stage automation sector. As a Site Automation Engineer, you will install and maintain automation systems, providing technical expertise to optimiseprocesses.
You will be responsible for leading a small team, installing and troubleshootingsystems, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
Duties include:
- Updating systems, running reports, investigations and repairs of automated systems
- Resolve electrical and mechanical issues
- Perform testing and calibration for hoists, motors, drivers, sensors and actuators
- Use PLC programming tools and specialized theatre control systems.
- Work with other engineers and team members

Skills & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering
- Driving license & OHS white card (essential)
- Strong knowledge of industrial networks, control systems, and instrumentation
- Expertise in troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintaining automation systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
