Join the team at Melsteel Pty Ltd as a Structural Steel Estimator based in Hallam, Victoria. This is a full time position, offering the opportunity to play a key role in the construction industry. As the Structural Steel Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost and materials required for structural steel projects to support the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret both engineering and architectural plans.
- Understand the scope of works to identify required steel components.
- Accurately estimate bills of materials and necessary labor in line with architectural requirements.
- Read and understand shop drawings.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, internal draftsmen, fabricators, and installers.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Assist the Sales Team with counter sales overflow, phone inquiries,
and order processing.
Preferred but not required
- Background in the steel industry.
- General knowledge of steel products.
