Permanent Full time 35hours, 5 days per week Salary: $116,341.98 - $127,481.06 + 12% Super
JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting career opportunity is available within Liverpool City Council’s Building Projects Delivery team for an experienced and energetic Senior Project Manager. If you are looking to expand your project management skills and gain further experience in delivering a variety of interesting and challenging Infrastructure Delivery projects within a fast-growing local government area, then look no further.
The primary function of this position will be to develop and deliver a range of building infrastructure projects, including renewal, refurbishment, and new and unplanned works.
Provide leadership and guidance to the team, including learning and development and mentoring and coaching, to ensure that fundamental project management skills are delivered to a professional standard and competency throughout the team.
Assist the unit leader in the development of cost-effective asset management strategy and the planning of Council’s building assets and related infrastructure programs. This position is for a career-focused individual who is willing to accept the challenge of providing a high level of service to the Liverpool community.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture,
Building Construction, Project Management, or other relevant disciplines.
- Work Cover issued Construction Industry Induction Card.
- Class C Driver’s License.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in the building construction industry for a minimum of ten years.
- Proven skills and experience of initiating, planning, design management, development approval and budget in a diverse range of building construction and infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience and technical knowledge in preparing briefs, specifications, tenders and contract administration.
- Proven skills and experience of building construction in monitoring, controlling, program, budget, scope, environment, safety and quality parameters.
- Proven skills to coordinate of multi-discipline consultants, trades and contractors on various projects.
- Extensive experience in effectively developing and managing relationships with cross divisional teams, stakeholders, agencies, contractors, consultants and the public.
- Sound understanding of heritage significant approval process, BCA, DDA, standards, codes and practices relating to building construction works.

The salary (within the above-mentioned range) will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
