About the Role

Reporting to the National Property and Development Manager, the Leasing Consultant is responsible for assisting in the identification and development of franchise sites and territories throughout Australia and New Zealand for Snap Fitness. This includes evaluating demographic and catchment data, managing lease negotiations and advising on all commercial lease terms including rentals, lessor works, capital contributions and incentives.

Additionally, support corporate owned locations by facilitating landlord discussions and lease obligations.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Assess potential sites using geodemographic mapping tools (e.g. Gap Maps) to provide data-driven insights on location feasibility, including competitor activity and trade area profiles.

- Provide accurate advice on property and leasing matters, including relevant legislation, building codes, and WHS requirements.

- Ensure leasing terms align with the franchise model and disclosure requirements.





- Gather leasing evidence to support rental negotiations and renewals.

- Manage site inquiries promptly and professionally.

- Represent Snap Fitness at external meetings with agents, developers, and landlords.

- Negotiate and promote ‘subject to franchisee’ deals and share opportunities with existing and prospective franchisees.

- Partner with the National Property and Development Manager, and National Franchise Sales Manager, to identify new corporate and franchise sites.

- Some national and international travel required.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum requirement of 2 years’ leasing experience in a commercial real estate agency, or similar.

- Education in property economics, property development, or real estate would be considered an asset.

- An existing network of property contacts or commercial landlords across Australia and/or New Zealand would be considered an asset.

- Excellent knowledge of the Australian and Current Zealand retail property market

- Ability to establish, build and maintain strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.

- Highly organised and skilled at effectively managing multiple and competing priorities.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate solutions with key stakeholders.
