We’re looking for an Electrical Trades Assistant / Excavator Operator to support our electricians on commercial and civil electrical projects across the South West.
This is a hands-on role combining excavator operation with electrical trade assistance. You’ll need to be comfortable working on the machine and getting on the tools alongside the crew.
The work
- Excavating trenches for electrical conduits and services
- Backfilling and general site preparation
- Assisting with conduit installation and cable hauling
- Helping electricians with materials, equipment and installation work
- Carrying out daily machine checks and keeping equipment in valuable order
- Working safely around underground services and other site crews
What you’ll need
- Excavator operating experience and relevant competency or tickets
- Current driver’s licence and Construction White Card
- Experience working around underground services
- Willingness to carry out physical work and general trade assistance
- Ability to follow directions and work well with the crew
- A reliable approach and a strong focus on safety
Previous electrical and / or civil construction experience would be required.
