QUALITY ASSURANCE / QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Manufacturing | Full-Time | Monday to Friday

Frenchs Forest Location

$33-$34 per hour (Day Shift) | $38-$39 per hour (Afternoon Shift)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance / Quality Control Inspector to join their manufacturing team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and documenting quality inspections and testing procedures across incoming materials, manufacturing processes and finished products.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong analytical skills, a methodical approach to work and the ability to identify and resolve quality issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

WORKING HOURS & PAY RATES

- Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:54 AM - 6:00 PM | $33-$34 per hour

- Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:54 PM - 11:00 PM | $38-$39 per hour

The position is currently scheduled to work the day shift. However, flexibility is required, as the roster may change to the afternoon shift depending on operational requirements.

Candidates must be comfortable working either shift when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct incoming goods inspections and testing of raw materials.

- Perform first-off sampling inspections for moulding and assembly operations.

- Carry out in-process inspections, including random process audits and production line checks.

- Complete final assembly testing to ensure products meet quality standards.

- Conduct warehouse inspections and inspect and process returned goods.

- Perform outgoing quality inspections, including lot acceptance sampling, to verify product functionality and packaging configuration before dispatch.

- Record and maintain accurate testing results, reports and quality documentation.

- Monitor and maintain the calibration and condition of gauges, instruments, jigs and fixtures.

- Ensure testing equipment is maintained in good working order.





- Follow established quality assurance procedures and ensure daily testing targets are achieved.

- Work independently, take ownership of responsibilities and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Liaise with manufacturing team leaders and operators to address quality concerns and improve product standards.

- Work collaboratively with inventory, purchasing and planning personnel to support day-to-day operational requirements.

- Maintain an organised and efficient workspace, minimising unnecessary space wastage.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

- Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control or a manufacturing environment.

- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including verniers and micrometers.

- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection and testing.

- Good English literacy and numeracy skills.

- Competent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.

- Knowledge of manufacturing products and processes, or the ability to learn quickly.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- A disciplined and reliable approach to work.

- The ability to manage competing priorities and perform under pressure.

- Clear communication skills and the confidence to liaise with various departments.

- Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 15 kg.
