About the role

Yuki Threads is an independent snow outerwear and apparel brand rooted in mountain culture. Working closely with the founder and a small team, you'll design, develop and deliver products end to end, from concept to factory exit. This isn't a single-discipline role, you'll lead every stage of product, from concepts, mood boards, and ideation through to presenting ranges. You'll bring attention to detail to sampling and real technical skill to fit sessions. When issues come up in production, you'll spot them early and resolve them smoothly with offshore partners.

Key responsibilities

- Design and develop technical outerwear from first sketch through bulk production

- Build concepts from mood boards and turn them into tech packs

- Present ranges with a clear point of view on mountain style

- Run fit sessions and assess sample quality and performance

- Work directly with overseas factories to approve samples, manage comments, and maintain standards on bulk production

- Manage costings, production masters and critical paths

- Lead and align part time production managers, freelance designers and technicians across different locations

- Communicate clearly and hold critical path to deliver on schedule

- Identify and resolve production issues early with offshore partners

- Test products in real mountain conditions and provide feedback

About you

- 3+ years leading the design and development of technical outerwear

- Experience taking jackets and pants from first sketch to bulk production





- Designer's eye with skills to build concepts from mood boards and present ranges

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, sketching by hand and digitally

- Technical understanding of outerwear: fabrics, membranes, seam sealing, waterproof and breathability ratings, insulation, fit

- Experience working directly with overseas factories

- Strong Excel skills and commercial understanding of costings and production

- Ability to lead people who don't all sit in the same room

- Time in the mountains and experience riding in technical outerwear

- ERP experience (Cin7 Core) is a plus
