About the role

Join Alinta Energy as a Senior Operational Technology (OT) Engineer and play a key role in protecting and enhancing the technology that underpins our power generation assets. Reporting to the Operational Technology Manager, you'll work at the intersection of control systems, OT networks and cybersecurity, helping deliver critical initiatives that strengthen operational resilience, compliance and reliability across our generation portfolio. What you'll do

- Deliver specialist engineering support across PLCs, SCADA systems, control systems, instrumentation and OT networks.
- Lead and support OT cybersecurity initiatives, including system monitoring, access management, risk mitigation and incident response activities.
- Partner with site operations, engineering, technology and cybersecurity teams to solve complex technical challenges and improve operational outcomes.
- Support the delivery of strategic OT programs and projects that strengthen the security, reliability and resilience of critical infrastructure.
- Drive continuous improvement through technical problem-solving, documentation, standardisation and stakeholder collaboration.

Your experience

- Degree-qualified in Electrical, Control Systems, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in Operational Technology, Control Systems or Industrial Automation within power generation, utilities, mining,



manufacturing or similar industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial networks and control system architectures.
- Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles, network security and critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical outcomes and build trusted working relationships.
