About the role

Yuki Threads is an independent Australian snowboard and outerwear brand. For the last 16 years we've been selling direct to customers online and wholesale to specialty snow and board stores across Australia and internationally. We're looking for an experienced bookkeeper who can run our accounts and take ownership of our wholesale receivables. This is a two days a week role with peak and low times throughout the year, reporting to the founder/director. This is based in our Torquay office.

Key responsibilities

- Reconciliations: bank, credit card, multi-currency, loan, and payment gateway clearing accounts

- Accounts payable: process, code, and approve bills, prepare the weekly payment run for the founder to approve, then process the approved payments through the bank (including USD payments to overseas manufacturers)

- Month end: journals, balance sheet reconciliations, stock reconciliation to trial balance

- Accounts receivable and credit control: Send statements, follow up overdue invoices by phone and email, agree and track payment plans, recommend when to put an account on hold,



and keep the receivables ledger clean

- Payroll: fortnightly pay runs in Xero, including STP and Payday Super

- BAS: review, prepare and lodge the monthly BAS, including Deferred GST on imports

About you

- 5+ years as a bookkeeper, including at least 2 years managing trade debtors for a wholesale or product business

- A track record of recovering overdue wholesale debts

- Robust Xero skills, including multi-currency

- Experience with a stock system connected to Xero (Cin7 Core/DEAR, Unleashed or similar)

- Monthly BAS, STP payroll

- Calm, firm, friendly communication. You can get a firm payment date from a store owner and keep the relationship intact
